A & R Bar-be-que Salmonella Outbreak

In July of 2009, the A & R Bar-be-que restaurant located at 3721 Hickory Hill in Memphis was the source of a Salmonella otubreak. The Memphis and Shelby County Health Departments investigated the Salmonella outbreak, and the restaurant closed on July 25, 2009, after at least 20 people reported symptoms of Salmonella infection. Customers who ate their food at the restaurant and at a family reunion catered by A & R Bar-be-que all became ill with Salmonella infections.
