Don Julio Mexican Restaurant Salmonella Outbreak

The Don Julio Mexican Restaurant in Corinth, Mississippi closed in mid-December, 2012 after 59 customers and employees tested positive for Salmonella. The Northeast Mississippi District health officer said in a news release that the Salmonella outbreak did not appear to be a food producer or supplier issue, but that it was likely an isolated problem with the particular restaurant.

Food samples from Don Julio's were tested for the presence of Salmonella after the outbreak was traced to the restaurant.
