Rochester country club being sued by Seattle firm
A Seattle, Washington law firm has announced plans to sue a Rochester-area country club over illnesses suffered by several people last year.(Rochester-AP) -- The lawsuit stems from a number of people who contracted salmonella poisoning at the Brook-Lea Country Club during June and July 2002.
Attorney Marler Clark, and representatives from Brook-Lea's insurance company, had previous meetings in an attempt to settle the matter out-of-court.
But according to Clark, no agreement was reached. Thus his firm decided to take legal action. Clark said his firm will represent 70 victims of the salmonella outbreak.
