Temazcal Restaurant Salmonella Outbreak

Temazcal Mexican Restaurant located in Chickasha, Oklahoma, was identified as the source of a Salmonella outbreak among at least 6 restaurant patrons in early 2013. According to the Chickasha Express-Star, the Oklahoma State Health Department conducted a case-control study to determine the source of the Salmonella outbreak. The results of that study indicated that the restaurant was the most likely cause of the Salmonella outbreak.

Temazcal restaurant closed on March 4, 2013 after the health department found the restaurant's walk-in cooler was not walking properly. The restaurant was expected to reopen after it could be brought up to code.
